The "Boomerang Effect"......

Well, It has been a great week for us! Let me tell you...some great stories...not lots of time though. Seinäjoki is a blessed place. It has not been forgotten by Christ in his building up of his kingdom here on earth.
My new comp is elder Lewis...He is very cool. He has been on his mission 1 year and 6 months. A very advanced man in wisdom and knowledge. We have had some great fun in our first week together. He is finishing my training...only 2 more weeks till I am done. We have set some pretty good goals and are going to try and get this place pumped and flowing with good works. I must say though, it will definately take some work.
Today I will start of with personal study:
So i have been reading in alma for a while now...this may be the last time in awhile where the verse of the email is from alma. I might just finish it this week. So while reading, I really like chapters 40 and 41...and especially the parts where it talks about the word Restoration..and what that really means. I feel like often times this can get a little mixed up with a mix between improvement and new...but lets dive into the scriptures:
12 And now behold, is the meaning of the word restoration to take a thing of a natural state and place it in an unnatural state, or to place it in a state opposite to its nature?13 O, my son, this is not the case; but the meaning of the word restoration is to bring back again evil for evil, or carnal for carnal, or devilish for devilish—good for that which is good; righteous for that which is righteous; just for that which is just; merciful for that which is merciful.14 Therefore, my son, see that you are merciful unto your brethren; deal justly, judge righteously, and do good continually; and if ye do all these things then shall ye receive your reward; yea, ye shall have mercy restored unto you again; ye shall have justice restored unto you again; ye shall have a righteous judgment restored unto you again; and ye shall have good rewarded unto you again.15 For that which ye do send out shall return unto you again, and be restored; therefore, the word restoration more fully condemneth the sinner, and justifieth him not at all.
(Picture from seminary lesson....couldn't help but share.....we are at the same spot!)
So we learn from these verses that the word restore basically means to bring back the same. So, the things we do in this life will be given back to us, whether they are good or bad. The church on the earth today is not any better than the one that Christ set up while he was on the earth, nor is it worse..but the same. I love the last verse...that which ye do send out shall return unto you again, and be restored. Lets always focus on sending out good works. As we do this, good works will be send back our way. I know that this is true.
My week:
So, I said goodbye to elder fielding and got elder Lewis. Both are awesome. Elder Lewis and I have set the goal to find one baptism this transfer. This is a high goal...and it is going to push us...but we can do it. First, we need to find an investigator..which also is very hard..but we can do it. So, we set our goals and head out the door. Friday night we found two people! who let us in their homes and we were able to share the message of the restoration...and get return appointments! What a blessing that is! We hope to be able to teach both of them again this week! the work is coming along.
Also, this transfer we arent going to eat out as much as last time. We have been addicted to greek yougurt this first week. we each ate 3 kilograms in the last couple days. The members here in seinäjoki are the best...we love them to death. In the meeting we had after church, one member stands up and says :I have given the elders 4 names for them to go and teach and report on next sunday. We were like yes!! no way! he gives us the names and I see them and realize they are the same 4 names they have been giving out to new missionaries since 2010. yes, elder fielding and I got those same ones when I got in town. Bless his soul.
The church is true! love elder christensen
